Feeling stuck with your art?

You don’t need more tutorials, just clarity on what to focus on.

Maybe your anatomy feels off, your colors look flat,
or your stylization isn’t working the way you want.

You’ve tried dozens of tutorials and copying references,
but you still feel stuck. I was there for over a decade, doing busy work but not really improving.

Everything changed when I found a structured way to learn.

A Better Way to Improve

Trying to improve everything at once often leads to slow, frustrating progress. Instead, we'll focus on the one skill that will have the biggest impact on your artwork right now.

Together, you'll learn how to:

  • Break complex skills into manageable steps

  • Practice with clear direction instead of guessing

  • Build lasting improvement through focused, intentional practice

You can choose the skill you'd like to work on, or we'll identify the best place to start during your critique session.

How It Works

This 4-week mentorship is designed to help you make meaningful progress by focusing on one skill at a time.

We'll start by reviewing your artwork, identifying the area that will have the biggest impact on your growth, and creating a personalized plan around it.

You'll meet with me once a week for a 1-on-1 session. Throughout the program, we'll:

  • Review your artwork and track your progress

  • Focus on the skill that will make the biggest difference

  • Break down challenges into clear, actionable steps

  • Adjust your practice based on your progress and goals

By the end of the program, you'll have a stronger understanding of the skill you've been working on and a clear direction for what to focus on next.

Focus sessions (4 weeks)

What we can focus on

Figure drawing

Learn to understand basic structure of the body so you can create poses that feel balanced, natural, and full of movement. Rather than memorizing anatomy, you'll learn to simplify the figure into clear forms that are easier to construct, rotate, and draw with confidence.

Facial Expressions

Learn to capture the key shapes and forms that define an expression, so your characters feel more expressive, believable, and full of personality. Rather than copying reference photos, you'll understand what creates an expression and how to recreate it consistently in your own work.

Lighting & Color Theory

Learn how light interacts with form and color to create believable, immersive scenes. You'll develop a stronger understanding of values, lighting, and color relationships, giving you a reliable painting process instead of relying on guesswork.

Character stylization

Learn how to simplify and design your drawings with intention, so your characters feel more expressive and uniquely yours. You'll understand what to simplify, exaggerate, or emphasize to create a style that is both clear and consistent.
